MSA Consulting, Inc. provided professional civil engineering and surveying services for the 15-acre affordable housing project in the City of La Quinta, on behalf of the Indio-based Coachella Valley Housing Coalition (CVHC) and the City of La Quinta, containing a mix of housing types ranging from one to four bedroom units to serve a variety of residents from singles to families in addition to a community center and recreational facilities. Energy and water efficient elements contribute to the neighborhood’s sound environmental values, including active and passive alternative energy technologies and porous pavement along pathways. The project received a LEED Silver certification.
Wolff Waters Place received the 2010 Dream Home Award for best Multi-Family project. Dream Home Awards are presented to those companies and individuals who assist in creating America’s Dream Homes and set new standards of excellence in the Nation’s Building Industry.
Additional awards include “Best Affordable Project” in the GreenBuilder magazine and the regional 2012 Compass Blueprint Recognition Award recognizing projects that demonstrate excellence and achievement in Livability, Mobility, Prosperity and sustainability.
MSA also coordinated the design and installation of all the dry utilities for this 31-building, 218-unit multi-family affordable rental residential development including power, telephone, gas, and cable.
