The project included the remodel and expansion of the existing Riverside Convention Center located in the City of Riverside. The existing Convention Center occupied approximately 10-acres and includes an outdoor plaza, landscaped areas, parking facilities and a single building with various event rooms and supporting uses. The overall plan was to renovate the center to add more meeting rooms and modern amenities, create a more prominent entrance off Fifth Street, and put in a plaza between the convention center and Marriott hotel.

MSA Consulting, Inc. performed surveying and design civil engineering services related to the  preliminary and final design improvement plans for on-site and off-site improvements, dry utility research/coordination, site surveying, environmental compliance and hydrology. Civil plan processing was provided as part of the Construction Document and Specifications phase and as part of the Construction phase MSA provided construction support/administration including bid/proposal assistance, site visits, response to RFI’s, project recommendations, design criteria, change order assistance, site surveillance, and punch list action.
