Located at DaVall and Ramon Roads, one of the four gateways into Rancho Mirage, the rehabilitation facility will consist of 56,000 sq. ft. and 50 deluxe resident rooms focusing on patient mobility and providing a sense of luxury. Plans include a 2,500 sq. ft. therapeutic treatment gym, built under the concept of “whole body healing”. The goal of the hospital is to provide patients with a full complement of rehab services under one roof instead of treating rehabilitation as a supplement. MSA was retained to provide professional services including surveying for the topography, boundaries and easements, preliminary to final civil engineering, and planning and engineering entitlements. The firm also coordinated applications to the various oversight agencies involved. The project required a zoning change as the land was previously designated for a neighborhood shopping center. MSA conducted informational meetings with nearby residents to inform them of the revised use of the property to mitigate any concerns they might have.
