MSA Consulting, Inc. provided a full menu of professional civil engineering services for a 201-lot, 80-acre gated subdivision known as Rancho Santana, located on the south side of Avenue 52 and west of Monroe Street in the city of La Quinta. As a part of the Rancho Santana project, on behalf of the developer, Desert Elite, Inc., and the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD), MSA also provided civil design engineering services related to the Monroe Street Sewer extension. MSA’s initial services included survey, utility research and coordination, potholing, preparation of sewer improvement plans and processing of the plans through CVWD and the County of Riverside for encroachment permitting of approximately 14,600 l.f. of sewer starting 660 feet north of Avenue 58 to Avenue 52. In addition, MSA prepared and processed USBOR Encroachment Permit exhibits for approximately 10 crossings. The sewer was further extended along Monroe Street from Mountain Spur Drive to Avenue 50. MSA prepared a preliminary and final design alignment exhibit for the additional sewer extension of 6,200 l.f. Once approved, MSA was responsible for the preparation and processing of the sewer improvement plans.
