Featured Employee – Kimberly Thompson

MSA Consulting, Inc. is pleased to introduce our most recently featured staff member, Kimberly Thompson, Director of Human Resources.  Kimberly joined the MSA family in April of 2005 as the firm’s Receptionist.  In that position, she became the “face” of MSA to many clients and colleagues as she enthusiastically managed the front desk, organized corporate functions and company social events.

Over the past decade with the firm, Kimberly progressively took on added responsibilities within the Administration Department, starting with all aspects of insurance, including providing insurance certificates, assisting with employee medical and dental claims and answering client inquiries.

Wanting to grow professionally and still stay within the MSA family, Kimberly embarked upon a rigorous professional education program while concurrently receiving training from MSA’s Director of Human Resources, Mona Oehlbaum.  Kimberly assumed the position of Human Resources Generalist until December of 2015.  After completing various human resources management programs and successfully obtaining a Certificate of Achievement in Human Resource Management from Villanova University, she then became MSA’s Director of Human Resources as Mona moved to Director of Operations.

In her current position, Kimberly stays up to date with current State and Federal employment laws and administrates company benefits, along with assisting with company payroll.  She supports both firm management and the staff by providing HR advice and assisting with company policy and procedures, recruiting, orienting and training new employees.

Kimberly and her husband, Jimmy, are parents to 2-year old son Elliott James.  She enjoys spending her desert summers poolside, quality time with family and friends and exploring new places with Elliott.  Kimberly is also an avid football fan.
